firefox 8 crashes on 6.0 BETA, was working on 5.1

After upgrading to 6.0 beta and rebuilding, firefox 8.0 has started
crashing. Was working fine on 5.1.

The installation that was already existing on 5.1 did not run after
upgrade. It had librt.so __cerror error reported on some other threads.

Above problem went away after a rebuild. But now, difficult to say whether
crashing issue related to new build or with the OS upgrade.

It crashes predictably on going to Edit-Preferences-Fonts and
Colors-Advanced

Besides it crashes quite arbitrarily without any action also - may be once
or twice in a day long usage.

I do not have a debug compile. Core file shows stack trace within
libxul.so. Will be very time taking to rebuild with debug. First looking
for any obvious checks.

Any suggestions?
