While it looks better, I'd just leave it alone because it
is no gain technically. This is arguably a matter of taste.

This doesn't work out in the long term because it forces one
to move users of that pkg to another pkg as soon as a new,
incompatible version comes out. This breaks automatic
updates and local packages of users.
