Seing the state of the TeX distribution, my engineering conclusion that
it would take less time to start from scratch than to try to handle the
mess.

And, I read for years more and more complaints about this,
from a lot of people, and it took only one guy: myself, to create
kerTeX.

I claim it is a kind of demonstration...
