I just do "make package install" but if you want the packages to be
available to other systems there is another step.  Here's a shell
script that I use when I build packages.

#! /bin/sh

SUMM=/usr/pkgsrc/packages/All/pkg_summary
make package install && pkg_info -X -a > $SUMM && gzip -f $SUMM
