poppler-includes errors

Here's the snippet of my problems, which seem to be with fontconfig.

checking which font configuration to use... fontconfig
checking for FONTCONFIG... no
configure: error: Package requirements (fontconfig >= 2.0.0) were not
met:

Package '@PKGCONFIG_REQUIRES@', required by 'fontconfig', not found

Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you
installed software in a non-standard prefix.

Alternatively, you may set the environment variables FONTCONFIG_CFLAGS
and FONTCONFIG_LIBS to avoid the need to call pkg-config.
See the pkg-config man page for more details.
