I agree but not because of technical superiority.  Even within the DVCS
crowd there is disagreement over which one is best with hg and git
being the top two contenders.  With subversion you can use hg and git
to access the repository.  I have not found a subversion interface to
either of those.  That tells me that subversion can work for people who
prefer svn, hg or git.  Let everyone use the tool that they prefer.

Is that true?  Sounds like deal breaker to me.  Are you sure that that
behavior can't be controlled by the configuration?

According to the video link you provided it seems that it is only the
clones that have rollback.  That would mitigate the issue I think.

I don't see staying with CVS as a viable option long term.  Just
getting atomic commits would be a huge improvement.
