thanks Thomas and Joerg. Alas, no luck with these.

But now I cannot reproduce the cwrappers problem on Debian 8 anymore :-)
With cwrappers and "LDFLAGS+=-ldl" added, build still fails on Ubuntu,
but succeeds on Debian 8.

I'm sorry I don't currently have the time to investigate more.
