Unfortunately "pkg_admin rebuild" didn't help. But I also couldn't find 
firefox53 or midori on my system anymore. Turns out that there was a .conf 
file in /var/db/pkg, put there by pkg_chk, with a list containing ff53 and 
midori. I just deleted the file and the problem disappeared. Funny thing 
is that the file doesn't return either.
