Inform 6 package needs updating, listed maintaner hasn't been active in a decade.

I am a little new to PkgSrc.

The current version of Inform is a little stale. It doesn't update too often so it isn't too far behind. (6.31 in PkgSrc , 6.33 upstream.) However the newer versions are distributed under the Artistic License 2.0 where as the old version in PkgSrc is distributed under a less free license. So a version bump would be nice, in that it would also get rid of the need to explicitly accept the Inform license.

I reached out to the nathanw who is listed as the maintainer. However he hasn't been active in Pkgsrc in over a decade and doesn't know where to begin in updating it, and isn't interested in resuming to maintainership of the package.

What is the next best steps to get this package updated?
