Qemu build fails again, this time on devel/gettext-tools

I had to rebuild a couple of applications, including qemu. I though
this was fixed last time, but now the problem is with gettext-tools.

System: based on Debian stretch, 64 bit; pkgsrc current.

Command line:
$ bmake PKG_OPTIONS.qemu="sdl gtk3"  update package

Building without gtk3 works, but then I have various errors while
launching the programs; that's why I went for the gtk3 route.

I can see there's a recent update on gettext-tools (28 May). I wonder
if anybody has  a clue.
