You should make sure that the users of the package are ok with this.   I
will say again that the point of pkgsrc is for users to use, and there
are reasons people choose to use software that is not maintained.  I
realize you wish they wouldn't, but we must be careful not to cross into
taking things away from people because others don't like what they
choose to run.
