Re: Binary packages vs. OS release
Just FYI,
As of
http://ftp.netbsd.org/pub/pkgsrc/packages/NetBSD/amd64/
We have now following (1) directories.
morden% pwd
/ftp/pub/pkgsrc/packages/NetBSD/amd64
(1)
morden% du -sm 9* .9*
0 9.0
44643 9.0_2019Q4
35104 9.0_current
44982 .9.0_current-20200227
(2) the date info for them are
morden% ls -lad .9*/All 9*/All
drwxrwxr-x 2 mef netbsd 754176 Mar 4 12:38 .9.0_current-20200227/All
drwxrwxr-x 2 jklos netbsd 716800 Mar 2 01:21 9.0/All
drwxrwxr-x 2 jklos netbsd 716800 Mar 2 01:21 9.0_2019Q4/All
drwxrwxr-x 2 mef netbsd 753152 Mar 4 13:06 9.0_current/All
(3) Or the similar info:
morden% ls -lad {.9*,9*}/All/pkg_summary.bz2
-rw-rw-r-- 1 pkgmastr netbsd 3206876 Mar 4 12:38 .9.0_current-20200227/All/pkg_summary.bz2
-rw-rw-r-- 1 pkgmastr netbsd 3068647 Feb 29 13:15 9.0/All/pkg_summary.bz2
-rw-rw-r-- 1 pkgmastr netbsd 3068647 Feb 29 13:15 9.0_2019Q4/All/pkg_summary.bz2
-rw-rw-r-- 1 pkgmastr netbsd 3151176 Mar 4 13:06 9.0_current/All/pkg_summary.bz2
(4) And I have with me (local)
20:41:13/200307(..packages/current)% ls -l .9.0/All/pkg_summary.bz2
-rw-r--r-- 1 2030 sys 3175425 Mar 5 23:55 .9.0/All/pkg_summary.bz2
21:05:01/200307(..packages/current)% du -sm .9.0/All
35084 .9.0/All
-- Let me list with pkgsrc-users@ report again:
(morden)
44982 .9.0_current-20200227 http://mail-index.netbsd.org/pkgsrc-users/2020/02/26/msg030538.html (2/26)
35104 9.0_current http://mail-index.netbsd.org/pkgsrc-users/2020/03/01/msg030565.html (3/01)
(in my hand)
35084 .9.0/All http://mail-index.netbsd.org/pkgsrc-users/2020/03/05/msg030583.html (3/05)
-- then my plan --
(a) I'll delete (2/26)
(b) rsync (3/01) to .9.0_current (copy at morden, to save local to morden rsync time)
(c) rsync (3/05) to .9.0_current (local to morden)
(d) mv (3/01) to .9.0_current-20200305
(e) mv (3/05) to 9.0_current ( make it public, or production)
(*) .9.0* directory is not hidden at ftp.netbsd.org
Let me know if you have any suggestions etc, thank you,
