I just noticed a problem with editors/vim-gtk2. If your Vim window is partially obscured under some other window, and you scroll the text inside Vim, then the text area that gets revealed by moving out from under the other window isn't fully refreshed. If you scroll slowly line by line (^E or ^Y) it is even more extreme. This happens on both computers where I tried it; they have different graphics hardware (Intel vs Radeon). I just changed from NetBSD 8.1 to 9.0, and from pkgsrc-2019Q4 to 2020Q1. Vim is 8.2.303. So... any idea if this is a bug in Vim, gtk2, X, or NetBSD??? vim-gtk3 doesn't show the problem. Previously I preferred the gtk2 version because gtk3 was terribly slow, but so far I haven't noticed this yet. Of course vim-xaw is faster still :) and also doesn't show this problem. -Olaf. -- Olaf 'Rhialto' Seibert -- rhialto at falu dot nl ___ Anyone who is capable of getting themselves made President should on \X/ no account be allowed to do the job. --Douglas Adams, "THGTTG"
