Re: gtk3 option for misc/libreoffice
Just to eliminate any straggling theme settings, I created a brand new
user with no config files of any sort. Sure enough, libreoffice still
fails in the same way, with a blank space at the top of the window,
about 50% as tall as you would expect for the missing menu-bar.
Looking at libreoffice's output, I find a lot of menu-related messages,
starting with:
** (soffice:26000): CRITICAL **: 08:20:36.981: void
g_lo_menu_insert_section(GLOMenu*, gint, const gchar*, GMenuModel*):
assertion 'G_IS_LO_MENU (menu)' failed
(soffice:26000): Gtk-CRITICAL **: 08:20:36.983:
gtk_menu_bar_new_from_model: assertion 'G_IS_MENU_MODEL (model)' failed
(soffice:26000): Gtk-CRITICAL **: 08:20:36.983:
gtk_widget_insert_action_group: assertion 'GTK_IS_WIDGET (widget)'
failed
(soffice:26000): Gtk-CRITICAL **: 08:20:36.983: gtk_widget_set_hexpand:
assertion 'GTK_IS_WIDGET (widget)' failed
(soffice:26000): Gtk-CRITICAL **: 08:20:36.983: gtk_container_add:
assertion 'GTK_IS_WIDGET (widget)' failed
...
Something seems to be definitely messed up with menu-bar creation...
FWIW, this is with a brand new installation of all packages and
dependencies, with gtk3+ version 3.24.27
