True, that does allow cmake to finish configure.

I also tried the binaries that are provided by upstream, and they do
work even with the other backends. But they don't find e.g. gnutls
even though pkgconf from pkgsrc is used, and pkgconf finds gnutls. I'm
not sure what's up here.
