A data point - when I put - just to test - MAKE_JOBS=2 - the build
continued fine, but I got a warning message:

warning: a `-j` argument was passed to Cargo but Cargo is also
configured with an external jobserver in its environment, ignoring the
`-j` parameter which probably means there is a double -j invocation in
any occasion, but when MAKE_JOBS is greater than 1 -j is completely
ignored and doesn't cause a problem.
