The version information looks correct though.

"current" is supposed to be 6, "revision" is 3 and "age" is 0 because
it is not specified.

I suspect an incompatibility of libtool with one of the tools it is
using, perhaps sed or awk. Maybe it must use GNU sed instead of the
one supplied with the OS?
