Thanks. I went through several iterations, including trying to get github to work and pull this down in able to start working. Earlier on (several years ago), there were portability problems but it looked that by the time FreeBSD pulled it in, those may have been addressed. I don't have time to work on this now but could really use it, thus the offer. 


Could you point to the FreeBSD port?
I wasn't able to find it, either through Repology or, by searching https://www.freebsd.org/ports/
