Did you mean to say "foo.mp4" ?
multimedia/ob-studio is the easiest way to capture video of your
desktop. A ffmpeg command line can accomplish it, too.
If you only need to capture audio, on NetBSD you can try pad(4).
But if you're watching something with your web browser (you mentioned
Firefox in the subject) then it might be straightforward to simply
save the video to disk.
net/youtube-dl also works, just in case it's a video on YouTube in
question.
