What I meant is: Given the building npm uses the net and is a mess, why
you believe that building npm within node is ok?
If you mean "I have this change locally and have tested it not to use
the net, and in general the build within node is saner", that's fine --
but you didn't say that and I try to avoid mind reading in discussions.
Certainly I don't mean to ask you to fix lang/npm. I just want to be
clear on whether we are making a structural improvement.
