ham/gnuradio-monolithic (Re: diff from 2023-04-11 11:36 to 2023-04-13 11:25
For ham/gnuradio,
https://www.gnuradio.org/
we have following packages for now.
1. ham/gnuradio-core
2. ham/gnuradio-*
3. meta-pkgs/gnuradio
(this 3. is equal to 1 + 2)
4. wip/gnuradio-monolithic
this is (almost, or exactly) the same as 3, hopefully
Upstream organization is problably 4.
FreeBSD may have the same shape as 4.
https://www.freshports.org/comms/gnuradio/
The reason of splitting into like 1 + 2, was probably based on
my historical modification, see the thread starting at:
http://mail-index.netbsd.org/pkgsrc-users/2014/09/07/msg020346.html
Now maintaining PLIST for 1 + 2 becomes a little bit time consuming.
http://mail-index.netbsd.org/pkgsrc-users/2023/04/15/msg037126.html
I would propose either
A. - Remove 1, 2, 3 (imediately)
- Put 4 with a name PKGNAME and directory "gnuradio"
B. - put 4 with a name PKGNAME and directory "gnuradio-monolithic"
- Then some time later,
remove 1,2,3,
rename gnuradio-monolithic to gnuradio
(directory and PKGNAME)
(or)
C. - keep current module organization
