OK, looking at the contents of ~/.xsession-errors on my netbsd-10 box has:
New PolkitAgentListener 0x78201578e520
Adding new listener PolkitQt1::Agent::Listener(0x7f7fff05bb90) for
0x78201578e520
"Cannot create unix session: Could not connect: No such file or directory"
** (process:4169): CRITICAL **: 17:44:28.822:
polkit_agent_listener_register_with_options: assertion
'POLKIT_IS_SUBJECT (subject)' failed
"Cannot register authentication agent!"
(process:4169): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: 17:44:28.822:
g_object_unref: assertion 'G_IS_OBJECT (object)' failed
no cached wallpaper. generate a new one!
starting
"Plugin \"mount\" not found."
OssEngine
InitMixer: 23
/usr/pkg/lib/lxqt-panel/libvolume.so: Undefined PLT symbol
"_oss_ioctl" (symnum = 230)
size of original image QSize(1920, 1277)
QStandardPaths: XDG_RUNTIME_DIR not set, defaulting to '/tmp/runtime-abs'
Then the seven lines from "starting" repeat several times, then onto a
bunch of other errors
Would you be willing to send me (offlist?) a copy of
~/.xsession-errors from a working start?
Thanks
David
