mk.conf and building probs

At the end of /etc/mk.conf I added this to make X11
with pkg-source:


NO_CHECKSUM=    yes
X11_TYPE=       modular

## X11_TYPE !=       "native"

PKG_DEFAULT_OPTIONS+=-dbus
 # for ALL packages


Can this mess up builds of other programs?

I made modular-xorg then added PKG_DEFAULT_OPTIONS+=-dbus ;
should I rebuild modular-xorg?
