Many thanks for the report and the helpful tips. I have been able to reproduce and resolve the problem. Since it is a pretty nasty bug, I immediately made a new release and provided an update in wip[1].
On this occasion, I also declared Github as the primary repository[2] and my own Forgejo instance only as a mirror. This should also make it easier to participate. There are already some good suggestions for changes that I unfortunately haven't gotten to yet. I have also transferred the tickets to Github,
