There is no need to wait.  pkgsrc-users@ as MAINTAINER means that there
is no maintainer, and anyone is welcome to work on the package.

Generally a wait is appropriate when there is a maintainer who is
inactive, and it's polite to give them most of a week to say that you
shoudl feel free to go ahead or explain why it's not a good idea.
