merging packages

Quite a few popular dependencies have been merged into
other packages recently.

Can we get a big loud announcement (in the release notes,
here, and on netbsd-users@ users ideally) when packages are
merged into other packages that they now conflict with?

It still seems to break binary package upgrades and many people
who use pkgsrc casually are left confused and with the overwhelming
impression that pkgin doesn't work properly.
