and if there are problems booting boot diskette can be used.

to make diskette:

disklabel -wr fd0b
newfs /dev/rfd0b
/usr/mdec/installboot /usr/mdec/biosboot.sym /dev/rfd0b

to boot put diskette to drive and when bootblock loads

boot wd1a:netbsd
