I tried it today and it works great on the Pegasos. And it seems that Jochen
has good success on the RS6000 as well.

The above method seems pretty standard to me. At least a good fallback for
all OFW-based ports.

Hm. I noticed that you also removed the 'platform'-stuff in ofppc. So your
recommended method woud be to start a completely new port for each platform?
For example a pegasos-port, in parallel to macppc and prep?
