Unfortunately, my machine is running without a graphics card since long. I'll have to try with keyboard and monitor at some point.
Hmm... please boot "ofwboot" instead, which will load the kernel. I remember that I had strange problems when booting a kernel directly.
I guess that ofwboot requires a ffs filesystem to load the kernel from? Could it be netbooted?
