Tested a recent kernel today (loaded via TFTP). I have connected a serial

Ok, that's not much. But I don't see a kernel panic or messages about
missing /dev/console.

Robert Swindells worked on Efika support six years ago, and there was
a kernel, which detected a lot more devices and already had an mpc5200-
specific interrupt handler:
