It's worse than that, it's dead, Jim.

The machine now thinks its ethernet address is 00:00:00:00:00:00.
It's unhappy with this state of affairs, to say the least.  I'm
working on figuring out how to reset that to something more
reasonable.

Any help would be appreciated.
