you ran "raidctl -A root raid0" ?  that's working for me on an ultra10
and had been on an ultra1 (i relocated the disks to an ss20 -- just
put a sparc kernel & boot block on one of the disks, moved them, had
the system come up perfectly and then fixed the other boot partition.)
