Same here - I worked with uwe on the other (?) instance of the avcall
stuff somewhere in pkgsrc. The assembler code is not only syntactically for
some other toolchain but also does not fit our ABI.

The code seems to mostly be generated, but the makefiles don't provide a 
convenient way to to regenerate them. I'm probably missing lots of
context, and my memory is dim.
