Heh, funny, I can reproduce that. Can you please file a PR? It works fine
when running on i386:

cp: ELF 64-bit MSB executable, SPARC V9, version 1 (SYSV), for NetBSD 2.99.16, dynamically linked (uses shared libs), not stripped
