I identify this as the same as typing "set-defaults" at the 
ok-prompt

  I did type "set-defaults" and it did reset a lot of the
stuff visible with "printenv" but not the date/time of
the NVRAM/clock chip

  none the less, I'll give it a try on the next occasion...
