Hmm, everything else I played with does...
set x/y start, width in pixels
optionally an offset for the first pixel of the data you feed. Then you kee=
p feeding and the blitter will jump to a new line when one is full, either =
continue with the rest you fed, continue at the next byte border or with th=
e next longword you write.

Sounds funky. So you either have to use max. 32 bit width or adjust x after=
each line.

ay with them?

Hmm, the SPARCstation LX has a cg6 onboard that can be expanded to 2MB usin=
g some funky SIMM, this additional memory has to be good for /something/, e=
specially since the cg6 can't do more than 8bit colours.
btw. I added some basic acceleration to XFree's suncg6 driver, works fine o=
n my Ultra 1, should also work on sparc.
Source and binary of the driver (for XFree86 4.4 on sparc64) are attached.
It accelerates solid rectangles and screen-to-screen copies - bores the cg6=
to tears but it already helps a lot, like xterm scrolling :)
