Anything using gtk2 with list views should catch it sooner or later. In
KDE it seems a bit more rare but still happens.

Hmm, 'dirt' as in artifacts? Noise? Random short horizontal lines?
The mouse cursor is a sprite so it would be very odd if it left any
traces in vram.
