   I think they're bog standard ATX power supplies, I've seen the 6 pin 
   extra connector on many PC power supplies and always wondered what 
   they're good for until i saw an U10 mainboard ;)

this is for older PC's that needed extra power, basically.  this
connector has been removed in ATX v2.0 so replacing u10 psu's has
become significantly more difficult in the past year.
