FWIW, bind with threads turned on is not working for me on
FreeBSD/sparc64 6.2.

I will still be waiting for a lot more to work before again trying to
use these machines as anything more than relatively dumb ipv6 routers.
but it is really exciting to finally have some realistic hope of
getting this sorted.
