Creator3D + DirectColor visual

I've got Creator3D Series 3 (FFB2+). It looks like Xorg sunffb driver
does not support DirectColor visuals (by looking at output of
xdpyinfo). Is there any way to get DirectColor, apart from installing
Solaris?
