Sun Fire v240 - bge0 watchdog timeouts
I tried net booting a GENERIC kernel fetched from the HEAD (current) daily
build on nyftp and had a problem with the NetBSD bge0 drivers - after the
kernel came up, the bge0 kept renegotiating with the NetGear GS108 gigabit
Ethernet switch (kept seeing the speed light wink out and come back)
accompanied by "watchdog timeouts". Under those circumstances, an NFS root
could not be mounted.
The device in question is:
bge0 at pci0 dev 2 function 0: Broadcom BCM5704C Dual Gigabit Ethernet
bge0: interrupting at ivec 37c8
bge0: ASIC BCM5704 A3 (0x2003), Ethernet address zz:zz:zz:zz:zz:zz (my edit!)
brgphy0 at bge0 phy 1: BCM5704 1000BASE-T media interface, rev. 0
brgphy0: 10baseT, 10baseT-FDX, 100baseTX, 100baseTX-FDX, 1000baseT,
1000baseT-FDX, auto
The last kernel I tried was INSTALL; here's the version & basic system info:
NetBSD 5.99.51 (INSTALL) #0: Sat May 14 08:01:47 UTC 2011
builds%b8.netbsd.org@localhost:/home/builds/ab/HEAD/sparc64/201105132300Z-obj/home
/builds/ab/HEAD/src/sys/arch/sparc64/compile/INSTALL
total memory = 4096 MB
avail memory = 4003 MB

Are we still having interrupt routing issues on this class of system?
