Manuel,

I modified the /grub/device.map because I got a:
/dev/wd0d does not have any corresponding BIOS drive.

Based on your hints, I modified /grub/device.map to
  (hd0) /dev/rwd0d

and after, run:
  grub-install --no-floppy /dev/wd0d

and I got the same error again:
  The file /grub/stage1 not read correctly.
