netbsd/amd64 dom0 && opensolaris amd64 domU
anyone tried an netbsd/amd64 dom0 with an opensolaris amd64/domU?
I'm running:
NetBSD cuendillar.omniscient.com 4.99.58 NetBSD 4.99.58 (XEN3_DOM0) #0: Wed Apr
2 23:16:53 EDT 2008
kovert%saidin.omniscient.com@localhost:/usr/obj/current/amd64/amd/guinness/usr/src/os/NetBSD/src/sys/arch/amd64/compile/XEN3_DOM0
amd64
on a box (dell sc440, core2duo e4500, no VT hooks), with 2g of memory,
256m allocated to dom0 and no other domUs running at the time, I get:
[root@cuendillar#3 ~] xm create kisain-install.cfg
Using config file "/usr/pkg/etc/xen/kisain-install.cfg".
Error: (1, 'Internal error', 'xc_dom_boot_domU_map: failed to mmap domU pages
0x826+0x15ff1 [mmap]\n')
using xenkernel3-3.1.3nb1 (xen-debug.gz), with:
name = "kisain"
kernel = "/space/vm/solaris/install-amd64/unix"
ramdisk = "/space/vm/solaris/install-amd64/x86.miniroot"
extra = "/platform/i86xpv/kernel/amd64/unix - nowin -B install_media=cdrom"
memory = 512
cpu = 0 # leave to Xen to pick
vif = [ 'mac=aa:00:00:50:02:f1, bridge=bridge0' ]
disk = [ 'file:/space/vm/solaris/kisain.sd0,0,w' ]
disk += [ 'file:/space/iso/opensol/sol-nv-b79b-x86-dvd.iso,6:cdrom,r' ]
as a config file.
Other domUs (netbsd/amd64, linux/amd64, opensolaris/x86_32) boot up
fine.
thanks,
-Todd
