I couldn't get this one to work either, all I get is:
(XEN) Xen is relinquishing VGA console.
(XEN) *** Serial input -> DOM0 (type 'CTRL-a' three times to switch input to 
Xen).
(XEN) Freed 112kB init memory.
Kernel alive
Kernel really alive
(XEN) Domain 0 crashed: rebooting machine in 5 seconds.

I get the same with xen33 and xen3.1.4
