NetBSD domu with PV drivers under HVM?

Is this possible?  How do I do it, if so?

I need to connect "serial ports" on two NetBSD VMs in order to use
kernel GDB, but I would very much like to avoid the immense performance
hit of using the emulated drivers for disk and network, in large part
because it wastes so much CPU other VMs could use.
