Ok, that tells me you are using Xen 3.1. The file format has been changed
to qemu-dm-<guestname>.log in newer Xen versions.

Xen 3.1 is too old for NetBSD to run as HVM guest.
Upgrade to Xen 3.3.

It has a buggy shadow paging implementation which doesn't handle
unaligned and cross-page accesses properly. This has been fixed
in Xen 3.3.
