Problems with xbd when trying to install NetBSD DOMU
Here's the errors I get, consistently, when trying to install DOMU:
port-xen%NetBSD.org@localhost
Sep 21 11:50:54 cache /netbsd: xbd backend: attach device vnd0d (size
4000002) for domain 1
Sep 21 11:50:56 cache /netbsd: xbd backend 0x1 for domain 1 using
event channel 22
Sep 21 11:50:56 cache /netbsd: xbd IO domain 1: error 5
Sep 21 11:51:32 cache /netbsd: xbd IO domain 1: error 5
I am using NetBSD 4.0 for DOM0:
# uname -a
NetBSD cache.uto.ca 4.0_STABLE NetBSD 4.0_STABLE (XEN3_DOM0) #0: Fri
Sep 18 10:19:00 EDT 2009
root%cache.cns.utoronto.ca@localhost:/usr/obj/sys/arch/i386/compile/XEN3_DOM0
i386
Here's the configuration:
kernel = "/var/xen/kernels/netbsd-INSTALL_XEN3_DOMU.gz"
memory = 64
name = 'NetBSD-4.0'
vif = [ 'mac=00:16:3e:00:00:12, bridge=bridge0' ]
disk = [ 'file:/var/xen/images/xen-2GB.img,0x01,w' ]
root = "xbd0"
extra = ""
I start up the machine via:
# xm create -c config_file
The errors occur when trying to create a file system on the virtual file system.
Any ideas?
