Should I still be limiting the dom0 memory usage in /boot.cfg with
xenkernel33-3.3.2 or is it better to delete the memory size option?
Is it possible that domU's require RAM on dom0 side?

This is my current /boot.cfg entry:

menu=Boot Xen PAE with 512MB for dom0:load /netbsd-XEN3PAE_DOM0 \
console=pc;multiboot /xen.gz dom0_mem=512M
