I'd say that the general problems reside in the power management area;
as dom0 is not necessarily aware of hypervisor's choices regarding
scheduling of other domains, it cannot make proper decisions regarding
physical CPU power control.
Other parts, like NUMA, or device configuration/attachement, are less
problematic. It is more a matter of parsing tables and feeding the
hypervisor with the obtained information.
