No, for xl without arguments, I don't think xencommons is needed
(xl only prints its usage, and doesn't do any xen-related I/O)


I misunderstood then, I though "xl" with no arguments was working, and other stuff like creating a guest was not...
At least from this:

"xl with no arguments prints usage
ls /kern/xen works

Now try
# cat nbsd.cfg
kernel = "/netbsd-XEN_DOMU"
name = "netbsd"
vcpus = 2
memory = 512
# ktrace xl -v create -c nbsd.cfg
Parsing config from nbsd.cfg"


It seems I was reading the emails in the wrong order tough :) so maybe in the first case the problem was really "xl" with no arguments was not working (but works after reboot)
